My Windows Media Player makes kick butt mixes.

One of the features of my WMP is the "Auto Playlist" where it groups songs according to your listening habits into categories like "Nighttime Listening", "Have not Heard Recently", "Weekend" and "Weekday" listening and "Favorites".

But I'm surprised at how well it makes a mix. Starts you off fast with a couple of songs, then one slow tempo, one medium tempo and then one more slow. Wash, rinse, repeat. Completely random I'm sure, but nonetheless I bow to it's mixmaking abilities.

What a fascinating premise for a movie! I hope that some smaller distributor in Hollywood (Artisan, Sony Picture Classics) gets wind of it and gives it a decent shot to succeed. Yeah so it's got grade-A cheese written all over it, but what an imaginative story!

Not only that but it stars Bruce Campbell from the Evil Dead Trilogy. What more could you ask for?

I've added another blogger to the Wall of Fame over on the right. This one is quite overdue.

Kenny Smith found my blog off (of all things) the "Recently Published" list that Blogger gives you right after you post (which considering my lack of frequency these days makes that fact all the more amazing). He linked my blog to his and we've had a mini-correspondence via e-mail ever since.

The Internet - Making the World a Little Bit Smaller Day by Day.

At any rate, Kenny is an award winning star of Alabama radio and soon to be television. In a few years I can say that I knew him when. And Dave you can commiserate with him about the sorry state of your Auburn Tigers ("War Canary") this year.

Do visit him and give some props.

Looks like Wilco will be on tonight on PBS along with Sonic Youth. So if you're one of the many people that I have pimped Wilco to, yet have never received a burned copy of YHF due to my flakiness, this is your chance to hear them. Here's the local listings.
Thanks go to John C. for the heads up and the link

Check this out! It seems that one of Britian's leading sleep experts ("sleep expert" - how can I get that gig?) has cracked the code of human personality by observing the position that one sleeps in. Let's take a look:

Well, well well, it seems that the the good doctor is spot on when it comes to my wife's sleeping position. I didn't know that the real name for it was the "fetus" (heh, "foetus" - freakin' limeys). I was always under the impression that it was called "the Sprint Runner" otherwise known in the Native American dialect as "Knees in my Butt". It could just as well be called "Elbow in my Trachea". Anyway, it seems that this sleep position is quite popular among the ladies as 41% of all females sleep this way.

OK, let's see the analyisis: "Seems tough, but is really a sensitive, shy person." Yep, that's my Karly. The tough talking terrorista with a heart of gold.

It looks like I'm "The Yearner" (couldn't they think of a less ghey name for that position?). "A suspicious person with a very rational approach to life". A litttle boring but I can live with that, although I'd like to know what they mean by "suspicious". At least it's not marking me out for a mass-murderer or anything like that. Good to know that my sleeping position labels me as sane.

Now what about you my four dear readers? What position are you and would you say the chart has you pegged or not?
